When them F-104G, were constituting the backbone of the defense of the air Spanish space, the safety in flight of material saying was needing a flight of tests, whenever someone of the planes was repaired, to correct a breakdown that was affecting someone of the fundamental systems of the plane (engine, controls of flight … etc.) or it was submitted to a preventive maintenance or big inspection.

This type of flights was realized by an experienced pilot who was guaranteeing, with his tests, that all the systems of the plane were working correctly before it was considered to be like operative and in consequence, in conditions of the Squadron of Maintenance could offer it to the Squadron of Air Forces if this it was needing it.

The flight was very meticulous and normally it had one or two pilots specializing in to realize them, because they have to be observing parameters and behaviors that in a normal flight they were not needing to be observed. All this without prejudice the plans of instruction the pilot.
 

We will detail those points that could be more showy when realize one of these flights and that they can ensue from interest for the fans of the matter.
