Breakage of the lateral window glass

In one of the multiple flights to Italy made for the Navites program, after the arrival of  the three F-104G’s at Italy, they found that in one of them the cockpit glass had cracked.

The curiosity of this case was that to replace the glass was complicated and besides there was not a replacement glass immediately available. So the pilot that took that airplane to Italy convinced one of his companions, that was not married, to remain in Italy during the week that would take to replace the broken glass, alluding that he would have a grand time and that it would be a relaxing week and could visit other cities, since the Navites program had arranged for the monthly visits of the F-104’s to a different place.

The truth is that, when the companion returned from the exile in the city of Ghedi (Italy), he commented that he didn’t have such a good time like he was told and that he had to borrow clothing to survive.
