EF-18 A+ (C.15) Hornet

462 Sqn. patch The F-18 is the dream plane of every combat pilot. It is considered as the best multirole combat plane because of its thrust, handling qualities, avionics, etc... As fighter it is able to track ten targets at same time and shoot down one of them at 25 NM, and as bomber its able to hit a minimun ground target from above 20.000 feet, at day and night. It can performance special missions as ship attack (HARPOON) or SEAD (HARM).

F18 close to Teide Mountain Its air refueling capacity gives it an almost unlimited range. There are more than one hundred spanish F-18 based in Zaragoza, Torrejón, Morón, Gando and in Aviano detachment (Italia).
